So is the whooshing kind of like a pulse sound?

I had a similar whooshing pulse/train like sound in my head/ears when I had severe neck/shoulder spasms - in my case the muscles were putting pressure on the arteries and also pulling my c spine out of alignment.
I found a good chiro that was very helpful for both of those causes.

Do you have tight neck muscles that might be causing it?
