So glad to hear that he did his thing where he needed to!!
The most difficult part of loving a pet is having to decide when it's time to end their suffering...my dog's hip is really bothering him...I have him on a special arthritis diet and tramadol 2x/day, and it is painful to watch him defecate...his legs shake, and he has trouble staying squat for any length of time. I was almost ready to put him down when we were up at the cabin last week...but he is in such good spirits in the morning. He still runs out to get the papers! But as the day wears on, he just sleeps, and occasionally moans. When he lays down, he plops. I know the time is coming...I just hate making that decision.
No more pets for me... I am too old for the maintenance and the heartache.
