Hi Lulabelle ~ Are you SURE you'll be able to function ok without the meds? Are you sure the pain will not be too much for you? Make sure you've thought long and hard before you go off the meds.

A slow, long weaning process is the best. If it were me, and I was on 120 mg., I would start weaning at 5mg per week, i.e. week one I'd take 115mg., week two 110mg., etc. Then when I got down to about 50mg., I'd wean at 10mg per week until I was done.

The reason for such a slow process is so you won't have withdrawals, and also it keeps you from having seizures. Also you're much more comfortable at a slow taper as withdrawals can be very uncomfortable!!!
