EddieF, it's more like a 'body' sensation (the synthetic form, I take Nabilone which is similar to Marinol, apparently in cost as well sadly) than a mental altering.
After now having been on it for several months, I don't get a 'high' from it at all now, but it does help a lot to control my pain.
Dry mouth's the only down side to it that I can tell. I also take Clonazepam for my cruddy burning mouth syndrome that yes, still plagues me

... and I still feel the 'kick' of taking each dose of that drug (hrm!).
I also feel the cruddy w/d if I miss Clonazepam, but if I miss Cesamet (Nabilone), no w/d! Go figure, huh?
