I have one of those programs too but I turn the sounds off - I don't like all those extra dings, dongs and sounds
- there should be options or settings to do that in the program.

The one I have is weather watcher live - it's a browser add on.
to make changes to it I go into the browser Tools - Add-ons - section and then options.
