tonight my mom made chicken breast filets without flour and without any butter - for the first time in years i think. she marinated it lightly first and then seared it on high heat. it was very tasty and the balsamic vinegar i guess gave it enough "color" for dad, who wants everything 'browned' - translation:
floured and sauteed in oil and butter. which drives me batty. mom doesn't use much butter, but it ends up going in a lot more things than i would put it in

)
anyway since he ate it, hopefully she will do it again. (and hopefully he will eat it next time, too... sigh.)
