well ok so you motivated me to go and look at my tartar sauce.

surprise surprise. it isn't that bad. it's made with fresh pasteurized eggs, so a little saturated fat there and a little cholesterol, but not much at all. for the rest, it's sunflower oil. which is decent - no transfats.
i am "allowed" as much olive oil as i want. no limit there. my triglycerides are fine. my LDL is what's got bad, and it pushed my overall cholesterol over the top, too.

that's the only concern. my HDL is just over minimum - could do with being a bit higher.

the lecithin should help on both fronts. EXERCISE is what would really help.... sigh.

i don't do calories. it would drive me bananas. on rare occasions when i actually observe a "diet," what i do is i eliminate specific food items, or restrict how i eat certain things. yes/no/how i can handle. dissecting and adding up everything i put in my mouth would drive me batty in less than a day.

i admire that you can do that without going batty.
