Dear Mari
i could not find out a clear cooking time/temp to kill salmonella... i seem to remember boiling for 15 mintues type thing from years ago... but i don't know what it was in reference to.

anyway, recalled eggs should be avoided, period. if the contamination is high, there may be a risk even after cooking. not to mention kitchen contamination.
in general... i soft-scramble my eggs too. i like them that way. the "ordinary" risk, although present, is low. we risk getting killed any time we cross the street - but still cross it.
