Default A few questions...

On a thread below I introduced myself. After doing some, I realized that I had a few more questions:

Ever since I was a teen, I have experienced piercing pain in my temples (both and simultaneously) if my ears are exposed to wind, or even a breeze when wet from swimming. The pain can only be described as the feeling of an icepick in my temples. Just a few minutes of it causes mild dizziness. As soon as my ears are out of the wind and warm up, the pain subsides. Is this a TN symptom?

Also, I suffer from dry eyes. When that began, and before I started drops, I would get these occasional flashes of pain in either eye. The pain felt like I was stabbed in the eyeball by a needle. It would cause my hand to fly up to my eye, but then it was gone in an instant. My opthamologist said that it can be attributed to dry eye, but I've not seen any description of THAT type of pain in anything I've read on dry eye. So now I'm wondering if untreated dry eyes can trigger nerve pain.

And lastly, I'm so, so scared. Even though my pain is very mild, possibly because I already take Lamictal, I am wondering if ALL cases of TN progress to excruciating. I literally shake all over whenever I read about TN. I don't want to hurt like that EVER.

Thank you for reading.
