Hormone levels were discussed last winter. I was found to be low in testosterone too. I use a topical cream applied every other day or so. At first, I was applying it daily but my face started to break out. Fifty-five is too old for face breakouts. Now, I use it every third day or so.

I also take DHEA tables, 25 mgs each day. DHEA help the other hormones stay in proper balance. Schiff make an affordable tablet available at many vitamin shops.

It has been noticeably helpful. I get my cream from Women's International Pharmacy. They have a web site at www.womensinternational.com

I am waiting for the day when Emergency Rooms start giving progesterone therapy for every head injury. Progesterone has neuroprotective properties. A researcher is trying to patent the use of progesterone for head injury treatment. He needs a knock up against his head to wake him up.
