First time poster.....colloid cyst
Hey everyone. thanks in advance to everyone on this site, you all have already helped me more than you know. I had a atv accident about a month ago and had a concussion, i was referred by my doctor to have a ct scan to look for bleeding or swelling on my brain. I got the phone call about fifteen mins after the ct scan that i was being referred to a neurosurgeon and was told i had a colloid cyst on my third ventricle. I went today for my mri(not a good idea for someone with a major headache). The neurosurgeon told me in our first meeting that he most often just keeps an eye on them and rarely removes them, so from what I've gathered on this site is i need a 2nd opinion, and i am planning on having one. My question is, how long is the recovery time if i have to have it removed? I know it will be a long time to be back to 100%, but how long will i be out of work? And im also curious about the memory loss risk. I have three boys, a 5yr old, 3 yr old and a 2 week old. Is the memory loos so severe that i wont remember them? Im sorry if my questions seem stupid, i guess im just paranoid. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont know anyone who has been threw this other than those on this site. Before my accident i didnt even know it existed. Thank you all
