Welcome to our PN forum...

Some drugs like Dilantin (and other seizure drugs) severely impair other nutrients.

Folic acid
Vit D
Calcium

are the main ones.

This link is a brief summary taken from a text book on the subject:

http://www.chiro.org/nutrition/ABSTR...vulsants.shtml

You can request B12 and Vit D blood tests. Don't accept "normal" as a result from the doctor because the ranges the labs use are the OLD ones, and don't reflect the new research of the past 5 yrs or so. Get the actual numerical results and bring them back here!

Many doctors don't bother with learning this new information, so it is up to you to find it and request it.
