thank you, ok i think i understand the remark better now... yes, it would have been a ruccus. the definition i read was about intellectual competition
without purpose other than to one-up others... and that didn't seem applicable ... i understand now, you were more referring to the degree of involvement, and taking of positions, and perhaps not so much the without purpose bit.
