I know.......why do I all of a sudden want buttered toast with my coffee?!
Coffeegirl, it
does make you feel like you're losing your mind sometimes....especially when there is so much obviously wrong and the doctors can't seem to pinpoint what it is. I think if they could spend one day in our shoes they'd have a much different attitude towards us.
One thing I learned throughout this whole experience is that
you have to be your own advocate. If there is a test you want performed keep on about it till it gets scheduled. Let your doctor know that he is your partner in this search for a diagnosis. Make him aware that you want to be involved in the decision making and the treatment plan. If your DH is up for accompanying you to the appointments that's great because there will be two of you to decide what's the best course of action. The more he is involved the less "scary" it will be for him. Nothing's worse than not knowing and coming to your own conclusions. Plus, you'll have someone there with you to hear what the doctor says. I tend to forget what was said one I walk out the door so I tend to take alot of notes while I'm there.
I hope you feel better soon. You've waited long enough.....you need a dx soon.
