It really depends on each person & the kind of job it it.
- if they can get job, equipment & ergonomic accommodations from employer
- if they feel they can maintain it without increase of any symptoms or pain
I went back to same job after my first RSI in 1999 - I wish I had known then that RSIs can eventually become something like TOS - I could have used the time to take classes or apply for another job in the company with less demands on my arms.
