Sorry to hear about the pain and not seeing much of the surgeon.
I thought it was strange in my surgery also. I saw my surgeon for all of about 5 minutes before surgery and about 5 minutes several hours before I was discharged.
While I realize they are supposedly professionals and deal with surgery day in and day out. I wish they'd realize it's a big deal for those of us who don't work in the business.
