You know, the "metabolic" part, amino acid ratios, etc, are so complex even doctors don't understand them! It takes a specialist to evaluate testing for that.
If you get rid of sugar, and mean that type of metabolic change, then that would different. Diabetics tend to have a fruity odor about them, and that would leave if diet were more tightly controlled.

The B complex typically is sited for odor changes, and I think that is mostly because of thiamine.
Choline has been implicated in very high doses to cause a "fishy" odor in some people.
