I don't think Colostrum works really. I tried it many years ago and it made me very ill...GI upsets... I returned it for refund at the store.

The purpose of the colostrum is to prime the GI tract for food.
Human breast milk is colostrum for the first couple of days too.

Infants (cows or people) have undeveloped GI tracts and colostrum serves a definite purpose then. But studies are really lacking that it does anything much for adults.

Basically when a supplement type has been around for a LONG time like colostrum has, if it does not show distinct proveable benefits during this time, it is probably not going to. A great supplement gives great results, which can be measured in some way. (Mannatech products I believe fall into the UNmeasurable category as well).

I stay away from iffy things. If you have a real testosterone deficiency, then DHEA or treatment with the hormone from a doctor is the best way to go. You can have blood work to show a deficiency in testosterone. Men on chronic opiate therapy develop low pituitary functions and often use testosterone gels.
Another cause of low testosterone expression, is a lack of the blood proteins that carry it around the body. Low protein intake is the most common cause of this, and occurs as men age.
Some studies show whey protein in the form of shakes helps with this. (one cause of low protein is low acid in the stomach which may be related to using acid reducing drugs). If there is no acid, then the protein you eat is not digested properly --and the whey helps with this because it is pre-digested.

OSR #1 is very controversial, and this article states, has been taken off the market!
