I certainly DO have a random sense of humor...and am also phobic about bees (thanks, Sally) so to me, throwing myself on a bee would be very much like throwing myself on a grenade.

I wouldn't throw myself on a big spider for ANYbody. Well. Maybe my granddaughter. But she'd probably be afraid the spider would get hurt.
