Now this is the weird part...when I got home that same day. It was as if my body was trying to fight back with all it had! Got a call from the clinic nurse asking how was I feeling. I told her what was happening and she just politely said okay.

A few days went by and I started feeling much better. Pain level was at a 2 if that!
Well, that was short lived and now I'm back where I started but much worse. It is mirroring in my right arm as well. I'm to see my pain doctor next month, but a little birdy told me that he is now saying that I don't have CRPS...WHAT!

Yesterday, I had an appointment with a new Hand and Arm specalist to look at my cubital tunnel which I have in both arms. I had a flare-up so bad in his office that he could not examine me! I think my stress brought it on! He said that I needed a Cubital tunnel release done, and that it is extremely important that the dystrophic process be addressed first. He suggest that I be evaluated for a SERIES of stellate ganglion blocks. He also wrote, he would not recommend taking out my hardware at this point in time and would be very leery to do any surgery unless the dystrophic compont can be controlled.

I left his office after paying out of my pocket $180.00 DAMN THIS CRPS (I don't have health insurance)! I don't care what that workers comp pain doctor said! I know I have CRPS, I don't want it but its there! My private doctor gave a name of a doctor that deals with CRPS patients. My private doctor was the first of two docs that said I have CRPS. Was suprised that the pain doctor said I didn't. He asked, "then what does he think it is?" Having haven't seen the pain doctor yet I said I didn't know. He said, "Know wonder your blood pressure is high today!"

Can someone tell me just what is meant by Dystrophic pain? How about your ganglion block did it work right away for you, or at all?

PLEASE HELP, don't know how much more of this I can stand!!
Thanks

I don't think that W/C will pay for another block.
Hi Lefty, I agree, WC attorney-they usually take your case at no cost and get paid when the settlement is made. Sounds like the Doc is covering his---.
WC may be a pain, but this is a serious, no cure, condition. Many procedures cause RSD to spread. Be sure and research and be your own advocate.
A lot of information can be gained by going to mayoclinic.com Go to Diseases and conditions and you'll get the correct information. Also RSDSA is a great site. You can put in your zip code and get information of a RSD support group. Also I like rsdrx.com puzzles list It is a great site from Dr. Hooshmand who practiced 40 years. the puzzle list is questions and his answers. There are about 150 of them. Important to get good information about RSD. RSDSA had their annual meeting last year here and was so good.
Please know we care and there is a lot of compassionate knowledgable friends here. Take care, one of your new friends, loretta
