You have it reversed. Nitric Oxide is a poisonious gas. My father used it for evil. But many doctors, particularly pediatricians, have discovered that it can be helpful in opening the bronchial airways of premature babies and may help those with sicle cell anemia. However it also can cause Parkinson's disease for those with Parkin gene mutations such as myself according to a study in neurochemistry ("[I]Journal of Neurochemistry, Vol. 66, Issue 1 Page 131, January 1996.
