Mycobacterium chelonae

example: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/222790-overview

The increasing use of Neti pots with inappropriate water has led to it being investigated here in US as causing chronic sinusitis, as that article I put up yesterday showed.

You know, the fluids in the sinuses do move around some. When lying down, you can feel this and sometimes hear a crackling sound. Using a mucolytic like guaifenesin sometimes helps move mucus out. And sometimes a turbinate bone will move and block the exit from the nose, and that can be fixed by an ENT usually in the office with a local anesthetic.
