Mere, I've been taking Ambien CR 12.5 mg for over about 16 monts, and found that it not only helps with sleep, but takes my PN pain from an 8 to <1. I seem to be the only one I've heard of who has this effect. But unfortunately, it doesn't seem as effective as it was. Worked like a charm for all of that time, but in the last few weeks, not so much.

The only difference that I can figure is that I've started adding Gabapentin 300 mg to Amitriptyline 50 mg. But it seems like the pain goes away after I take those two, but wears off by morning. I wonder if I should ask my neuro to try that combo twice a day. Finding the right combo of meds for this condition is such a frustrating trial and error process, isn't it?
