I like the way you described SFN here Cyclelops. Direct and to the point... It really describes it all in a nutshell. And Sheltiemom, good point about "idiopathic". Most of us are in this place?!

No, they don't turn to large fiber neuropathy in general.

Small doesn't mean insignificant. Small fibers are crucial to autonomic function and sensory function.

Also, SFN is unpredictable in its progression....it can progress fast, or slow, or not at all.
