I think my jaw pain, RSD, is a bit different issue..as I also have pain from the right back side of my jaw forward to the middle of my jaw...our difference being..my xray does not show an infection..and I have a 'halo' around the nerve root of my last tooth which is in the nerve bed of my jaw..below a tooth that has had a previous root canal, no nerve present..so pain is not possible there..I have been seeing an endodontist (Dr. who did the root canal many yrs, ago)..he believes this is RSD in the nerve root of my jaw..and let me tell ya..it is relentless pain which goes the length of my jaw..it can last for weeks on end and keeps me from eating properly...
