At least you're taking the geodon- with or without food there's bound to be a benefit. Do what works for you.
Emotions aside, you were probably right to get involved to influence your patient's outcome.
I have seen a lot of mania leading up to periods. It's common?
I'm on implanon (progesterone only implant in upper arm, good for 3 yrs), I don't get as many periods. However, they're not predictable, and I've still been manic a lot since getting it put it.
I get worried about hospitalization a lot even tho I've never been through it. I think that's a pretty reasonable fear when we "go bad," more so for folks who've been through it I'd imagine.
I hope your instincts are wrong and this is just PMS.
