Cindy, we live in VA and know what you are going through. I work, my wife can't because of RSD. We lost our insurance because of technicalities which are put in place so that those who are ill will be shunned from the for profit insurance co. I pay out of pocket and as time has gone by we are stone broke. We are now behind on our mortgage and are fighting now to keep the bank from taking our home. My wife does not qualify for medicaid because I make too much money. The bank will not deal with me because I don't make enough money with all the medical bills. We have always had very good credit, both of us have been tax paying citizens for 30-40 years each. I've contacted my congressman, Gerald Connally whose staff is now working with the our bank and Social Security. Cindi, maybe contacting your congressperson may help in some manner?
