Saturday morning update from Mom:
"Good morning! Claire and I had a great night sleep, yay!!! Claire passed out at about 8:00pm and didn't move until this morning. She seems a little happier, but still sore and uncomfortable. She is ready to go for a walk, so we are going to try to make that happen today. She is recovering well. She still has to keep the chest tube. The surgeon explained to me it is because of a minor complication that cannot be avoided with a surgery that is so extensive. He assured me that it will heal on it's own, but she will just have the tube a little longer. I'm sorry, he told me what the complication was, but that was before my coffee so.....
That's it for now. I'm sure we'll be here another day, but we are grateful for the awesome care we get at Scottish Rite. Claire is in the best hands."
