The hand and palm pain sound like what my husband is dealing with and he's not the PWP in the family. He has painful neuromas (benign tumors/growths of nerve tissue) at the base of both thumbs. Neuromas occur in feet as well as hands. Not all neurologists are well informed about them. My PD doctor, a movement disorder specialist, was the one who diagnosed them. A Google search will yield a lot of information, along with tips on how to manage neuromas.
