My motor symptoms were present right from the get go. The first thing that happened to me was a bilateral footdrop. The numbness came later.

Life can still be good with motor neuropathy. I am very independent, work full time, am a mother of two, and currently practising driving with hand controls (previously drove using pedals).

So, getting motor neuropathy is not something to be terrified of - life can still be very rewarding. But, as I say, my motor issues were present from the get go.
