After being in the hospital in April I was gathering my reports and they wanted to know if I wanted the MRI study. huh?! I didnt have an MRI then. I had many many tests, but an MRI wasnt one of them. Another time I saw my insurance EOB and it had a full body radiation on it. WHAT?! I called the hospital and had them remove it from my record. They wanted to just leave it as it was all paid for. I said Yes! by MY insurance! I have life time limits on that stuff and if you spend it on full body radiation I wont have enough to get my teeth cleaned later on. 2 days later the billing manager called to apologize for a billing error and assured me it was removed. Pay attention when those exp of benefits come in. You find all kinds of crazy stuff. Double bills to billing that doesnt belong on your account. I wonder if they slip some stuff in on mine ,because I have a great policy and its a way to get it paid for. Bet they wont use mine again, i pay attention.
