Thanks, guys. It makes sense to me. Such a tricky call for someone with MG, since MG makes the flu shot dangerous, but it also makes the flu dangerous...that's why I decided we'd immunize everyone in the family but me. My kids had H1N1 last year, and three of them ended up with secondary pneumonia.
But I talked to my daughter last night, and we remembered a bunch of stuff (like she told me in August that her hair was falling out). Here's another symptom of Graves disease: dirt trapped under the fingernails! It's because the fingernails grow too quickly and separate early from the nail bed. She has that one, which indicates this has been going on for more than a week or two.
So, at least I feel like this isn't all my fault for insisting she get the shot. My stupid genes, yes; my stupid decision, no!
