What a fun thread!

we hadn't been married very long and I couldn't cook at all. Mr.Alffe's grandparents were passing thru town and going to stop in for a short visit with us. Gran was an excellent cook so I thought I could manage to make dessert for them...a pumpkin pie didn't sound hard when I read the can.

The only problem was I put both a bottom and top crust on it! She smiled when I served it and said "well, I never thought about putting a top crust on pumpin pie."
