My battery is in my upper left butt, basically on the belt line as you say. Although my surgeon did say to me that it was slightly over it....I said well it depends on what kind of trousers you wear ie, hipsters, low rise jeans, or SImon Cowell pants up around your chest
When I say I can see it, I mean I can see the outline but moreso I can feel the actual shape of the battery. When I lie down I can feel it a bit as its still a little tender, as Im only just 3 months over the operation. I still wear a bandage , just a small one, over it as Im still nervous in case my belt scratches off it. My Dr did say that it takes over 4/5 months for the skin to toughen up over the battery and to be very careful not to bang it or hit off it. Obviously so as not to dislodge it

When I had my 2 spinal fusions done in '06 I had rods and screws put in. Now then I didnt mind the 'foreign body' as it was more 'inside' me. They ran up and down my spine. Whereas this battery is 'just there'. but Im sure in another while I will be over the whole 'ewwwww' stage....Im such a wimp!!!

Its great to have lots of questions to ask Twinmom. At least then you will come away with lots of information and then you can pass it all onto us too.....in case we have missed anything out!

Good luck for Thursday
