Wink

I do alot of spring bulbs... and we are in the North.

I am reminded of the less than intelligent question, I often get from passerbys... who stop me while I am working on my property (down in front is partially a woods, and people walk along in front alot...doing whatever).

The question: How come you have all these flowers so early, and no one else does? (this is true, as I have many things growing here).

And I always answer--- well, "I go to the nursery in Sept and Oct and buy bulbs and plant them and they come up NOW." I guess this simple concept eludes people in this techno materialistic age we live in. (the other thing that eludes people in MY neighborhood is that I am doing this myself!-- they think I am "hired help" O.o

I personally love the spring flowering time, when things are just waking up from a cold long icy winter....It makes ME feel good and positive. I like to drive up to my home and be welcomed by living colorful, interesting things!

Planting bulbs is sort of an investment.... you do it way before anything comes, so when it does arrive it is wonderful!
