Could workers comp be an option? not the greatest option, but if hours/duties at work might have been a factor it might be wise to look into it.
It isn't a quick process at all though... long and drawn out, plenty of denials also.
Were you working full time or just limited hours?

Is your medical ins paying for the appts, treatments & /PT?

It's good to hear that PT is helping you, just take care that they listen to you if things start to flare up, and reassess the plan as needed. slow and easy is the best with TOS.

I haven't dealt with general disability ins so I don't how it works.

What was the reason for termination? was it related to your injury?
possible wrongful termination?

You might try to talk with some wc attys {free 1st consult} to see if they think you have a wc claim. Use the first visits as an interview also.. to see if one stands out above the others.
some will take a case just to get their chance % of any monies awarded - so look for a reputable office if you go that route.
