Wink

Thanks ya'all - I realize its all do to my new love - lil buddy who walks the **H** out of me.

I'm even way low hypothyroid at the moment so docs at med univ can see me at baseline.

There has been no weight loss - just a shift from fat to muscle...I suspect

I used to be a size 8 and then the fatigue slowed me up so much and then the walking and imbalance and then loss of job until I was just veggin away in my barcalounger.

I couldn't even fold my own panties without gross fatigue and pain. The MG will shut me down quick as a wink with repetitive jobs - so I really cant figure out how I am managing to continue to walk every 3 hours with this dog.

Except his enthusiasm sort of "forces" me out pass the fatigue.

He's had a real job this week - off the mestinon, synthroid dropped (4 wks ago) to practically nothing-off all meds except Blood pressure and seizure meds.

I'm up to sleeping 10 hrs a nite with 2 day naps.

SALLY: I loved to mail you my pants - but I havent quite convinced myself that this new figure is a long lasting one!! LOL Its probably only temporary -just a matter of time before I'll need those 16s again.

Otherwise I'd hand deliver them to you!

If I do "convince" myself this is a forever deal - I will gladly send you the pants-they are nice Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Jones of New YOrk etc. I almost hate not getting to wear them as I really loved them.

But I found 4 great outfits at Goodwill - anyone else shop at Goodwill??
2 brand new Liz Claiborne's with tags on them even (!)

I love Goodwill - our store is fabulous - all the nurses I worked with shop there and therapists etc.

Ive gotten gorgeous window curtains, rugs, pictures, comforters (top of the line type)

I also bought two adorable king size shams and stuffed it with foam stuff and it makes two perfect doggie mats. Even fits Buddy;s cage.

I love treasure hunting. They have wheelchairs at store and they even let me take Buddy with me. LOL.

I just am in a daze as to how "dramatically" the exercise has improved my life. I always heard Montel telling us MSer to get up and walk...then they sent me to PT last year and proved again to me that exercise will help dramatically.

It was pure agony the 1st time I had to get on the bike. Two cycles of the wheel and I was done with excersing for the day!! LOL. By the 9th week I was up to 5 miles of cycling. And, I felt great. But could not sustain the effort of going 3 times a week.

I used to be an athlete in swimming, track and gymnastics - very competitive.

Or, once the flare up set in I was done with PT for 2 months. Really hard to keep the momentum up during those flare ups.

This time around - I am a BELIEVER in all those who keep telling us to MOVE - WALK etc. I used to look at them and think "Are you crazy! WHat part of this fatigue/paralysis do you not understand!!!"

Exercise IS good!!!
