I'm not sure why it helps me. Usually I can identify what drugs are doing but not always.

There seems to be a circulation problem in my case because using the hand over my head tends to be worse than other activities. I also have more psychological symptoms than a lot of people. It can be hard to maintain proper body temperature and the like. These could be circulation issues and the drug might be easing them.

I stumbled on this early because I was having memory troubles right away and people told me it was good for memory. It didn't help memory but every time I tried to quit taking it the symptoms would get worse.

It hasn't been a wonder drug for me but it seems to take the edge off. I'm not recommending necessarily so much as wondering if anyone else has found a use for it.
