I guess I qualify for what you describe. I am not a diabetic but have peripheral neuropathy in my feet. Have tried most of the recommended treatments from neurontin down to topical rubs. The only relief that I have had at all is a product called Briofreeze; it is an OTC jel and does well for what it is in reducing the burning pain. Neuropathy and its nerve killing effects has now gotten worse to the point that I am taking more desperate measures. Tomorrow afternoon I will have a trial inserted for a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have been hearing that is can provide a great deal of relief although it, of course, does nothing for fixing the problem but it might mask the pain and make it possible to live with it.
