We were on vacation last week and I bought too many souvenirs for the grandkids. So, I decided it would be cheaper to mail the stuff to myself in one of those flat-rate boxes you get at the Post Office than to take it home on the plane.
I finally found a ride to the USPS and, because of the long line, I didn't buy the stamps I intended to. But I grabbed two of the boxes and walked out. I remember thinking, "Wow, these are bigger than I remember."
I ended up not using them (my suitcase expanded just enough to accommodate the stuff), and gave the largest to my friend who had purchased even more stuff than I!
It wasn't until I got home and picked up my mail at the local PO today that I realized the boxes I took were NOT the free flat-rate ones!!!

The Postmistress said they actually cost about $10! She offered to let me pay so she could reimburse the PO for them.
But first I had to figure out exactly what PO I stole them from, lol! I returned home, used the computer to find out, and hurried back down there to give her the $10.
WHEW!!! Now I can quit looking over my shoulder!!!
