John - you describe yourself almost exactly the same as my partner (spouse of 7yrs) we're still trying to get a diagnosis for him, even though he's been told from Neurologists for over 10yrs since a car accident in 1980 even, that he has Epilepsy, it wasn't till some Amnesia, and behaviours caused troubles, that we had to sit down and evaluate. i'm seeing complete similarities in his behaviours and Geschwind syndrome, and your descriptions too. have you found help? diagnosis? i don't know what to do next.
