first, breath. its very scary, and a wild ride to know you have spots on your brain, and no one is rushing forth to give you answers.

as i tell most here, there are more than 100 diseases that can mimic MS, including the brain lesions. from migraine syndrome to vitamin def, to lyme, lupus and so forth. your md normally starts with a full tray of blood work. They rule out all those things that can easily be ruled out. then they are left with about 25 things that cant be shown on blood work. from RA (arthritis) to Sjoghren and the like. These things are dealt with by your symptoms. Once they are down to a handful of 4 or 5 they will start to pick the one that most fits YOUR symptoms. It may be MS or it may be Devics or it may be simple migraine patterns.

Have you considered an MS clinic? is there one in your area? The NMSS.org will be able to help direct you to a space to get answers. Its a hard thing to hear that you may have something wrong, and then be told to wait. hang in there.
