Yeah, I'm bringing this back to life. What I thought would happen, happened. Glanced through a teen clothing catalog. Teen boys, along with skulls and other stuff, can purchase "I Love Boobies" tee shirts. Not a word about cancer on them. Had a student, he saw a tampon and went into helpless giggles. "What is a tampon?" asked a teacher.
He replied "I don't know, but I know it's dirty". The reality seems, most are not overly bright or PC and don't think breast cancer, but.....tee hee boobies.
I would not have allowed it in my class. There has to be boundaries to give our rebels a cause. There has to be boundaries. If kids can't shock you cause you're so cool, the not too bright ones push harder.
I read "every generation has it's own underwear." Pantaloons to granny panties to bikinis to thongs. What next? No kid wants to wear what Mom wore
