I don't know much about prostate diagnosis. I'd ask your doctor for details.

But some foods can cause fluid retention. Too much sugar is one.

When you eat protein, that requires fluid to get rid of the nitrogen that is cleaved off to make glucose.

Low B6 status often causes fluid retention too.

A good habit to get into is having a full glass of water when you wake up. This flushes out the metabolism that occurred during the night.

Drinking alot of caffeine, will give different fluid excretion.
During the caffeine intake times you will go more. After the caffeine wears off, you will go less. You can test this out by drinking water first thing in the morning, at lunch and before dinner. This should stop the drier times.
