Could you be thinking of the Croup? Which I don't know how to spell either...lol. Pleurodynia has no cough, thank heavens, it would cause intolerable pain. I remember my husband came to visit me with his hair all weird and spiked to "make me laugh" when he walked in.
Well I did and hurt so bad.
