This is a terrible thing that your ex is making you go through. It's so cold blooded. I'm sure that you can get the documents needed to prove your ex,and the Lawyer wrong.

You can go to medical records,and get documents about the medical patch,and anything else that you need. They cannot dispute this. They may try,but the truth prevails.

You have enough heart ache to deal with,and not to worry about your ex.
