Default Layering, for weather.

Most of us go into some sort of shock with the cold weather, and I've spoken about humidity. When the humidity in our homes gets low, as it normally does in winter, our skin is akin to evaporate more, this triggers the inappropriate perspiration, then chills and the pain cycle. We can perspire when we get chilled. Keep your humidity up in the winter, lower in the summer. (Relative humidity should be around 50-55% all the time, with some deviation).

For Layering clothing this is what I suggest.
NO COTTON next to the skin!
Also, don't be afraid to spray on anti perspirant, say like on your feet, I spray it around my neck and behind my ears, too. (I've gotten to the point, that I can do this on a skateboard, making a jump! ;*) I DO like cotton sock, only if I spray my feet with A-P.

Back to the layering, I highly suggest Patagonia's Capilene.
It's super-wicking, and won't get soggy like cotton does.
They make Capilene T shirts, Zip Tees, long johns, underwear, for men and women, socks!
It's not inexpensive, but, rest assured, it lasts many years! And, has a great guarantee! This is a great company to deal with, too.

Go to
www.patagonia.com

sign up for their mailing list (sales)
Get their catalogue too.
You can shop online, but to start, a catalogue is great!

Check out their entire Capilene line, which not only covers the gamut of garments, (Hah), but comes in I think Four different weights, silkweight, (which is very nice on the skin) to medium, heavy and extra heavy.
You can lawyer socks, and I ALWAYS have a capilene t shirt on.
Even in the summer.
Nice colors, good service.
You can't go wrong.
I've been wearing this for skiing, before I got RSD.

They make a wonderful line of jackets, and clothes for kids, all great quality.

Check it out.

Pete
