haven't tried it, never will. as far as pd, if stem cells produced in bone marrow could already naturally repair brain damage, we wouldn't have pd. obviously a wound triggers a cascade of cells reproducing, there are definately treatments which speed up wound healing.
i can lift weights and increase my muscle size. i can take steroids or growth hormone and increase muscle size, change my metabolism. but it would seem to me that unless other hormones/growth factors trigger these stem cells to differentiate, they would be useless. and they would need to be local to the damaged tissue.
does your friend sell them?
