These are great ideas, thank you. I have found that I am now in love with the fuzzy soft socks!!! They are very silky on my feet and are not to tight around my ankles, except when the swelling gets bad. I do usually wear my silky pj pants when at the house. They are the most comfortable on my legs, but when I have to go out, I have found some light weight workout pants that seem to help some. As far as shoes, I can no longer wear tennis shoes or any form fitting tight shoes, nor can I go barefoot. I do wear crocks or crock substitutes EVERYWHERE!!! I have bought them one size to big, that helps especially during the times I start to swell.
