It's true that they don't give you specific exercises to do, and you're right; they don't have staff trained in fitness, but they don't "give you a diet." They teach you how to eat properly by helping you learn to portion correctly and actually know when you're hungry (as opposed to bored, stressed, etc), and also how to get proper and necessary nutrients into your daily intake. You learn for yourself how important activity is, both for losing and maintaining weight loss and for cardio fitness, and you can get suggestions on how to start out slowly if, like me, you were used to being sedentary prior to starting the program. It beats the cr@p out of any of the fads out there (e.g. Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, cabbage soup [GROSS!], Slim Fast [Gross], or paper-tasting Special K). More people are successful at losing and keeping off weight on WW than any other organized weight-loss program.
